Fourth International Convention on Food History and Food Studies

Call for papers and sessions
The event falls within the scope of the continuation of initiatives carried out by the IEHCA for the past fifteen years in pursuing its editorial policy, its support for research and its efforts to facilitate networking opportunities among Food Studies researchers.
All proposals pertaining to Food Studies will be considered and all researchers are welcome (doctoral, post-doctoral, research lecturers, independent researchers, etc). In essence, the conference is multi- and cross-disciplinary, covering all historical periods.
Two types of submission, with free choice of subject, will be accepted:
Submissions for “panel” sessions on a given theme
Sessions will last 90 minutes in all. They should comprise a moderator and two papers of 30 minutes each in length or three papers of 20 minutes. Papers can be presented in English or French.
Moderators are not allowed to give a paper in a session they moderate.
Submissions will be reviewed and selected by the IEHCA’s academic committee.

The closing date for sending submissions is the 15 November 2017.

Replies will be sent around 15 December 2017.
Please note that conference participants' expenses cannot be covered in whole or in part by the IEHCA.
Registration fee – 25 euros for non-tenured candidates/50 euros for tenured candidates. This fee includes attendance at a cocktail party held at the end of the conference.
Payment of the fee is due once your submission has been accepted and before the publication of the programme. It is not refundable in case of withdrawal.
