Every year in June, the IEHCA holds its international convention in Tours (France).
The event is part of the ongoing activities organised by the Thematic Reasearch Network led by IEHCA in pursuit of its support for research and efforts to facilitate networking opportunities among Food Studies and Food Sciences researchers.
The conference aspires to be a multi- and cross-disciplinary event, covering all historical periods, beyond the field of humanities and social sciences.
Researchers in anthropology, archeology, law, history, media and communication, sociology, as well as in medicine or biology are welcome to present their works.
the Sixth International Convention on Food and Drink Studies
June 4 - 5, 2020
We are sorry to have to announce that because of the Coronavirus epidemic, the European Institute for the History and Culture of Food has decided to not go through with the Sixth International Convention on Food and Drink Studies that was meant to be held June 4-5, 2020.
We are the first to be disappointed to have to give up on this event we are so much invested in and very much hope that we will be meeting again next year, in June, in better circumstances.
